ABANDONED UTILITY HALLS
The Abandoned Utility Halls include Pipe Nightmare and the Sewers. Pipes and machinery crowd the passages; sewage channels and maintenance walkways occupy the lower areas. Both are hot and poorly ventilated.
Pipe Dreams
Pipe DreamsPipe Dreams consists of an endlessly extending network of industrial tunnels. The corridors still retain a kind of order that can be mapped, yet they keep branching and narrowing at rigid angles, crowded by pipes and machinery spread across the walls and ceiling until passage is possible only sideways. The concrete and dark brick have long been coated in dust, leaving pale marks on clothing and skin at the slightest touch. The deeper one goes, the hotter and more stifling the air becomes, until every breath feels as if it passes through oil-soaked cloth.

SewersThe Sewers occupy lower, wetter utilities beneath the Abandoned Utility Halls. Brick arches and rough concrete enclose sewage channels of uneven width, while rusted grates, maintenance walkways, overflow gates, and abandoned pump rooms repeat along the current. Some walkways have already collapsed, leaving only broken railings suspended over the murky water. The heat has not faded with the flooding; steam and the smell of decay collect beneath the low ceiling, making the air as heavy as a boiler left sealed for years.
