Privacy Policy
Effective 18 August 2026. This policy explains the limited information used by the Backrooms VR website and early-support system.
Information we process
We process the beneficiary's VRChat display name and, when available, VRChat user ID; support amount, currency, provider, payment status and provider transaction ID; and signed webhook audit metadata. Card numbers, PayPal credentials and payment account passwords are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by this website.
Privacy-preserving analytics
Only after you allow optional analytics, we record page path, time, country or region, device category and referrer host for aggregate traffic statistics. A random first-party visitor token is stored as a one-way hash. We do not keep a readable IP address, full browser fingerprint or raw user-agent string. Page-view records are normally retained for about 400 days.
Use, sharing and public records
Information is used to confirm payments, prevent fraud, calculate cumulative ranking, grant nameplate styles, operate backups and monitor reliability. Payment processors and infrastructure providers receive only what they need to provide their services. The public entitlement feed contains the beneficiary display name, current rank, cumulative support amount in USD, tier and style ID; email addresses and individual transaction details remain private.

You may choose Essential only or change the analytics choice later through Cookie settings in the footer. To request correction or deletion of eligible records, email Lexhofee@gmail.com. Payment, fraud-prevention and accounting records may be retained when required by law, provider rules or legitimate security needs.
