TRI Building - Power Control Room

The Power Control Room lies on an industrial floor deep inside the Institute building. Transformers, distribution cabinets, cooling lines, and heavy cables cover the walls and maintenance platforms. Control diagrams contain far more circuits than the building itself could require, with load labels extending into the city grid and places absent from every plan. The equipment remains under high-voltage load, filling the air with ozone and hot metal, while warning lights flash in step with changes in the brightness of distant districts. The room powers more than the research facilities; it also balances abnormal fluctuations across the city. The Institute's private army guards the distribution platforms and control stations, while access points and consoles are locked by authorization level. Transformers vibrate when the Entity Research Institute activates equipment, and consoles reroute loads when whole fields of streetlights go dark, as though protecting circuits of higher priority. Enclosed cable ducts lead deeper into the building, but no visible plan marks their destination, and surviving maintenance notes repeat only one warning: never interrupt core power.
