Endless residential streets lie under moonless midnight. Wet asphalt, leaves, dead lamps, and repeated or interlocked houses extend into fog.
Midnight Without a Sky
Wet roads without lane markings pass silent houses whose doors, windows, driveways, and yards remain neatly arranged. Most streetlights are dead; the few that work illuminate only a small white circle in the mist. Homes are furnished, yet every electrical device inside is unresponsive.
Distance Refuses Measurement
The suburb imitates an ordinary street plan while changing the length between places. Adjacent houses may be exact duplicates, and farther structures can intersect one another while their interiors continue beyond the shape visible outside.
Neighbourhood Navigation
Permanent night and fog turn distant streetlights into unreliable depth markers. Repeated facades and interlocked houses show that visual similarity does not identify a block; cross-check close road, drainage, and fence details.
