Surveillance Corridor

This area preserves the complete furnishings of an ordinary office building abandoned without warning. Workstations, desks, chairs, and partitions line the corridors; conference-room chairs still surround long tables, filing cabinets stand half open, and water dispensers and vending machines remain in the break rooms. Cold white lights illuminate dusty papers and clocks that have stopped, while windows sealed with black paint make it impossible to tell whether an outside world exists. Entities are rarely active here, and the excessive quiet makes the offices feel as though they are waiting for someone to return. What truly maintains order here is the surveillance network spread across corners and ceilings. Cameras turn with a faint motor hum, keeping the dark circles behind their glass trained on intruders; when their gaze settles, indicator lights brighten and a piercing alarm sweeps through the offices. The once-quiet corridors soon fill with dense footsteps, impacts against doors, and crawling sounds, as if everything hiding farther away has been summoned by the noise.
