An entity that navigates by sound. Movement, thrown objects, and other noise become the coordinates of its search and pursuit.
It Hears the Map
The Bacteria Man's vision is disabled; received noise is its primary method of locating a target. Loudness, propagation distance, and the source position determine whether it becomes alert or begins pursuit.
Silence Is a Resource
Reduce unnecessary noise in its territory and treat every sound-producing tool as both a risk and a planned method of redirection.
Boundary of the Record
Bacteria Man does not have a single stable community-wiki definition comparable to the Smiler or Hound, and several incompatible canons use the name differently. To avoid importing another canon as fact, this file documents only the Backrooms VR implementation: sound-only perception, noise propagation, and deliberate audio diversion.
